Hello I’m Dr. Proctor, a practicing dentist with a deep appreciation for the role dental assistants play in delivering high-quality patient care. Over the years, I’ve seen how essential they are to the success of a dental practice—and how challenging it can be to find assistants who are truly prepared for the demands of the job.

What I also saw were patterns: outdated training materials, rigid learning formats, and limited access for individuals who were eager to enter the field but didn’t have a clear, modern path forward. Offices struggled to train new hires, and smaller dental assisting schools lacked affordable, practical tools to support their students.

I created Dental Assisting U in response to these patterns—not just to offer a solution, but to reimagine what dental assistant education could look like when it’s built around accessibility, relevance, and real-world preparation.

This is about more than just training—it’s about giving people a real opportunity to build a meaningful career in dentistry, no matter where they’re starting from.
